Skoda is preparing for the European launch of the all-new Superb with a fresh photo gallery and detailed information.

Scheduled to arrive in dealerships in June 2015, Skoda’s new flagship model will try to convince buyers with its new design, increased space, new technologies and more powerful engines which are also up to 30 percent more economical than on the previous model.

The third-generation Skoda Superb has an 80mm longer wheelbase as well as a wider track, which means passengers get more space in the front and rear.

Skoda says the driver and passenger have 39 mm more elbow room and more headroom, while in the rear, legroom is nearly twice as much as the nearest competitor (157 mm), with more headroom than in any other model in the segment (980 mm). Furthermore, elbow room in the rear has increased by 69 mm, while boot capacity stands at 625 liters (30 liters more than its predecessor).

Engine options include five TSI petrol and three TDI common-rail diesel units, with the GreenLine version being the most economical, with an average fuel consumption of just 3.7 l/100 km (63.5 mpg US or 76.3 mpg UK) and CO2 emissions of 95 g/km.

All engines are EU6-compliant and come with stop-start technology and brake energy recovery as standard. The petrol engines have outputs between 125PS (123hp) and 280PS (276hp), while the diesels range from 120PS (118hp) to 190PS (187hp). All engines are available with dual-clutch transmissions, with the exception of the entry-level petrol engine.

All-wheel drive capability is offered for four powertrains: 1.4 TSI 150PS, 2.0 TSI 280PS, 2.0 TDI 150PS and 2.0 TDI 190PS.
