This Koenigsegg One:1 Reminds Us Of A Real-Life Sleeping Giant

|

When you're looking at something truly imposing such as a Koenigsegg One:1, and it just so happens to be standing still, it kind of feels like it's just playing possum.

This car was made to go fast, really, really fast. And looking at it stationary is sort of like looking at Superman while he's sleeping - so basically you'd be looking at Clark Kent. OK, now it's getting weird, moving on!

The Koenigsegg One:1 is a 1,360 HP machine, that also happens to weigh 1,360 kg, giving it a true 1 HP per kg weight ratio. It's more powerful than any current Agera version and it'll hit 450 km/h (280 mph) if you've got the chance to max it out. By the way, it will hit 400 km/h (248 mph) in 20 seconds and brake from that speed to 0 km/h in just 10 seconds.

It's a marvel of engineering and we really enjoyed seeing it in this photoshoot. Speaking of seeing it, when Koenigsegg brought the One:1 to the Goodwood Festival of Speed last year, people got a chance to admire it next to a few hypercars such as the McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari, Porsche 918 and Pagani Huayra.

However, none of those cars, not even the P1 and the LaFerrari, have this much power.

When talking about the One:1, Koenigsegg stated that they had created the world's first mega-car, mainly because of the 1 MW power output. However, it may just be because it simply was the world's greatest exotic car.

Of course, now there's this thing.
