Ferrari Brings 8 Generations Of Its Mid-Engine V8 Supercar To London
PostedFerrari has been building supercars for ages with one of its greatest lineups being the mid-engine V8 models that recently came together for a quick photoshoot in London for the UK launch of the new 488 GTB.

Technically, Ferrari replaced their V6-powered Dino in 1975 with the first V8 model, the 308 (also offered with a 2.0-liter V8 engine named the 208), which lasted for a decade when it was replaced by the 328 in 1985. Four years later, Ferrari introduced the more successful 348 with the Testarossa-like cheese graters before replacing it with the evolved F355 in 1994.
From 1999 to 2005, Ferrari offered the 360 Modena and from 2004 to 2009 (the overlaps you see here are due to the roadster models being replaced later on), the F430, itself replaced by the F458 Italia that now hands over the torch to the new 488 GTB.
Powered by a new 3.9-liter turbocharged V8 that pumps out 670PS (661hp) at 8,000 rpm and 760Nm (560lb-ft) of torque, the 488 promises some impressive figures including a 0-200 km/h (124mph) run in 8.3 seconds and a lap around the Fiorano track in just 1:23 minutes.
Take a look at the gallery below and tell us which one is your favorite mid-engine Ferrari V8 (sans the higher-end F40, of course).
